I made my first negative balance purchase at Walmart today. For those of you who do not know, Walmart is one of the only stores around who will actually pay you for overages. This means that they will pay you out if your balance comes negative after all of the coupons that you have used. I have known this for a while, but always seem to be buying other things that I had my overages applied to.
Now in walking up to the register for this one I was a bit nervous. I knew I was going to have a good overage, and was not sure how the cashier was going to treat this. I was prepared with coupon policy in hand just in case the cashier decided to give me a hard time, but I was still nervous none the less. I am happy to report though that all the nerves were for nil. The transaction could not have gone smoother and the cashier barely blinked an eye when my overage came up. Needless to say, I was very happy with my Walmart trip today!
I got all of this and walked out of the door with about an extra $5 in my hands!
Here is the break down:
13 McCormic Gourmet seasoning packets - $1.64 each
Use 13 $2/1 McCormic Gourmet seasoning MFR Q (use zip code 33033)
= $.37 MONEY MAKER on each pack
6 Johnson & Johnson travel first aid kits $.97 each
Use 2 $3/3 Johnson & Johnson first aid items 9/8 SS
=$.03 MONEY MAKER on each kit
2 Travel size Loreal advanced shampoo $.97 each
= $1.03 MONEY MAKER on each
1 Beachnut stage 4 squeezy pouch $.98
=$.02 MONEY MAKER
2 cans Pinto beans on clearance for $.50 each
This transaction not only paid for my sales tax, but game me cash in my hand out the door. I can not be any happier right now!
How did you get so many of the mccormic seasoning coupons?
ReplyDeleteYou can print 2 coupons per computer (and iPad and iPhone). I used all of our computers as well as asked very nicely for family members to print some for me too!
